Our Story
Hello, my name is Stephen, and I'd like to share the story behind Little Tree Psychology.
During my time as a teaching student, I observed something intriguing about my students: many lingered in the classroom long after the bell. This wasn't necessarily for academic help or because they were waiting for a ride. Instead, they sought connection—they needed someone who was approachable and safe. Despite not considering myself the "cool" teacher, I realized that my ability to relate and provide a safe space was valuable.
I’ve learned a lot since those experiences, but the one thing that has not changed was that this is what all people need; to be heard, to feel understood, and to know what they think and feel matters. Like Dumbledore said, just because it’s in our heads, or because we’re young, doesn’t mean our thoughts aren’t real, or worthy of attention.
Little Tree was born from the belief that children, teens, and young adults especially need a secure space to express themselves. The name "Little Tree" represents this mission—a place where young minds can grow strong and resilient.
Since then, Little Tree has expanded to provide expert care for individuals of all ages, including adults, families, and couples. Our practice has grown, but our commitment to offering a safe and understanding environment remains unwavering, supporting every individual's journey towards healing and personal growth.

Admin
I am currently an undergraduate student with a major in psychology at the UofA. I
have previous experience working in the mental health field as a volunteer with CASA mental
health services in both their support and clinical streams.
I love music. I have music playing 24/7 of all types. I think there’s something beautiful about
listening to other people's work when you know they put so much of themselves into their lyrics.

Communications
I recently graduated from Grant MacEwan University with a background in biological sciences and psychology. I have always had an innate desire to learn about behaviour and the human mind. I am pursuing graduate studies at Yorkville University to further my education in counselling and eventually become a registered provisional psychologist.
I love being a part of the Little Tree Psychology team and educating the general public about mental health and its
importance!

Social Media Manager
I’m Arlyn Pasco, a Licensed Professional Teacher with nearly a decade of experience teaching English to Grade 7 and Grade 9 students at San Jose Integrated High School. For me, teaching goes beyond academics—I deeply value my students' well-being and believe that social and emotional learning (SEL) is just as important as mastering grammar and literature. Helping students develop confidence, resilience, and a strong sense of self is at the heart of my teaching philosophy. As an educator, I also take on leadership roles, organizing school programs and working closely with parents and stakeholders to create a supportive learning environment where students can thrive.
Beyond the classroom, I have a strong passion for content creation and digital marketing. I manage a beauty and wellness business while also working as a part-time Social Media Manager for Little Tree Psychology, where I create engaging content that promotes mental health and well-being. This role aligns with my passion for child development and education, as it allows me to advocate for mental wellness in different spaces. Balancing my love for teaching and digital marketing has been both exciting and fulfilling, giving me a creative outlet while continuing to make an impact.
I am always eager to learn and grow, which is why I’m currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Development Studies, majoring in Education and Development. This journey is helping me gain deeper insights into child development, education systems, and how I can further contribute to shaping young minds. At the same time, I am expanding my digital marketing skills by studying Google Ads, recognizing the power of online platforms in education, business, and advocacy. Whether in the classroom or online, my goal remains the same—to inspire, educate, and make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
